let's connect

The Quad Cities region—Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey-Humboldt—faced mounting workforce shortages and affordability challenges that threatened to limit growth potential. Despite the region's strengths including higher educational institutions, airport connectivity, and abundant outdoor recreation, leaders recognized the need for a coordinated regional approach to economic prosperity. The challenge was bringing together four distinct communities while preserving their unique identities and leveraging public, private, and philanthropic resources effectively.
What impressed us most was how CivicSol brought together four distinct communities without losing what makes each of us unique. We now have our first real regional strategy.
We performed a comprehensive demographic and economic assessment, evaluating the region's industry clusters to guide future business attraction and expansion efforts. Our approach included extensive stakeholder engagement with over 125 regional participants, ensuring all voices were heard in the planning process. The strategy addresses workforce pipeline development, legacy business preservation, new investment attraction, and destination development.
These efforts culminated in the Quad Cities' first-ever regional economic development strategy and action plan, providing a roadmap for future growth and reimagining the region's approach to innovation and prosperity. The strategy has laid the foundation for a regional economic development alliance, which CivicSol continues to actively support to ensure sustained collaboration and impact across all four communities.
Our work with the Quad Cities demonstrates how multi-jurisdictional collaboration can drive regional economic development while preserving local character and identity. The strategy created a unified framework that enables the region to compete more effectively for investment and talent while maintaining the unique strengths of each community. By establishing the region's first-ever regional economic development alliance, we've created a model for other regions seeking to balance local autonomy with collaborative growth that positions the Quad Cities for long-term economic resilience and prosperity.
